1. Introduction

Tendrite ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Raw Plus Dry LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Tendrite mobile application and web service (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

• Your name and email address (via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In)
• A unique user identifier

If you use the "Skip for now" option, we create an anonymous account with no personally identifiable information.

2.2 Content You Provide

We store content you add to the Service, including:

• PDF documents and URLs you submit for processing
• Topics and text you enter for module generation
• Your reading progress, bookmarks, and glossary entries
• Spaced repetition review history

2.3 Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the Service, including feature usage frequency and error logs. On iOS and Android, we use Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Process scientific papers and generate knowledge cards using AI
• Track your reading progress and spaced repetition schedule
• Improve the Service and fix bugs
• Communicate important updates about the Service

4. AI Processing

Tendrite uses Google Gemini AI to process your content and generate knowledge cards, explanations, and learning modules. Content you submit is sent to Google's Gemini API for processing. We do not use your content to train AI models. Google's use of data sent to the Gemini API is governed by Google's AI Terms of Service.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase infrastructure (Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Authentication). We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. PDF documents are stored in Firebase Storage and associated with your user account.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) - Authentication, data storage, hosting, and crash reporting
• Google Gemini API - AI-powered content processing
• OpenAlex - Academic paper discovery (public scholarly data)
• RevenueCat - Subscription management

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as you maintain an active account. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Settings menu in the app. Upon account deletion, we permanently remove all your data, including modules, branches, glossary entries, and reading progress.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data through the app
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data by contacting us
• Opt out of anonymous analytics

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the app or via email.
